As we embark on this exciting journey, I invite you to join our $10 million campaign to enhance Beaver Athletics and the health and wellness of our BVU community.
From 1972 to 1975, I had the honor of playing football at BVU under the legendary Coach Jim Hershberger. To this day, I hold great memories from my time as a student-athlete and remain lifelong friends with many of my teammates. During my time at BVU, we had eight varsity sports. We now have 21 NCAA Division III teams. And while over the years, Siebens Fieldhouse has experienced various upgrades, it has yet to keep up with the growth of BVU Athletics. To say this expansion is necessary is an understatement.
Today, fifty-five percent of our student body participates in Beaver Athletics. And in order for our student-athletes to compete at the highest level, we need to provide them with the necessary resources and infrastructure to support their development.
While this first phase of a 7,500 square-foot expansion with an athletics performance facility is a crucial first step, there is more to build. From practice spaces to locker rooms, indoor track renovations to a wellness facility for all students; our 'Building Champions' campaign will enhance the experiences for all of our students as they enroll, participate, and grow to become the leaders of tomorrow.
