Co-founder of Apple Computer Inc., Silicon Valley icon, and philanthropist Steve Wozniak will participate in an on-campus question-and-answer program with a panel of students from Buena Vista University.

KBVU Earns Iowa ‘Station of the Year’ Honors, Digital Media Students Land 38 State Awards

The trip opened eyes and doors in industrial work sites, labs, graduate school programs, and more. Participating students applied to gain admission into BVU’s new STEM C.A.R.E.E.R.S. program, which featured this travel opportunity as part of the course of study.

Professors joined a BVU alum in leading students during the three-week experience, where students worked to develop a mobile app from a working prototype.

New Legacy Scholarships Announced
This fall, any student beginning enrollment at Buena Vista University who has a parent or grandparent with a degree from BVU, will be awarded a $4,000 Legacy Scholarship.

Dr. Al Lewis Memorial Challenge Success
The memorial funds given for Dr. Al Lewis honor the life of the adored coach and faculty emeritus. The endowments in his name will now make an even greater impact on educational opportunities for students in the exercise science program.  

BVU Accepted to Prestigious Diversity, Civility, and Liberal Arts Institute
The Institute offers an approach which deepens students’ cognitive understanding of issues by engaging with scholars and their work in the humanities and social sciences. During the Institute, faculty members and administrators join a group of distinguished scholars to strengthen diversity and civility on college campuses.

BVU Names New Vice President for Student Success
Dr. Lucy Shaffer Croft is an accomplished student life professional with nearly 30 years of experience working in higher education settings. She will assume her new role at BVU on April 15.

Senior Class Campaign Bestows First Leadership Award
The 2018 Senior Class created the Senior Campaign Leadership Award and designated their gifts to a fund to support it. The award recognizes students who take leadership roles and positively impact BVU and the community through leading events and encouraging inclusion.
