New Students Welcomed to BVU
New students moved onto campus during Welcome Weekend activities in August. They were welcomed to campus by other students, faculty, staff, and alumni, and made the traditional procession through Victory Arch.

New Convocation Student Traditions
All new students will now sign pages of one book, representing their commitment to BVU ideals and shared mission, vision, and values. They will also receive a Convocation Coin.

Remembering Merle Phillips
Merle Olive Garton Phillips, age 111, passed away on Aug. 18, 2018. She was Buena Vista's oldest known alum and outstanding friend of the University.
