Job Title & Company: Assistant Controller at BVU

Major Job/Position Responsibilities: As the assistant controller, I have a variety of responsibilities that help contribute to the financial performance of the university as well as student financial success. I also get to meet with students who are awarded value-added funding and other institutional awards to access the funds for a variety of experiences. I am also responsible for the accounting of the University’s endowment accounts.

What do you like most about your job/position? I enjoy being able to give back to the community that helped shape me during my four years in college. Working alongside great colleagues and being able to connect with others across campus. I enjoy getting to work and connect with students and seeing all of the great opportunities they get to experience with the help of donor gifts through value-added funding and recognition awards.

What advice would you give to current students at BVU? Accept challenges that come your way and make as many connections as you can – you never know where those connections will take you in life!
